French Food Festival 29/1/2010

Places visited: French Food Festival
Date: 29/1/2010
Purpose: Timepass.
Persons: Harshal, Juilee

Juilee asked me 5 days before if I can come to eat French food. I am really very choosy about food. At home, too, I eat only very few chosen items. But Juilee sounded very exciting about this festival, so I agreed to go with her. She was very happy.

On Friday, I came by car to office and left at 7:10 PM. I reached AISSMS ground at 8:15 PM. It is just opposite to Modern Cafe, but I had to go some back and forth, as there are new One-Ways and No-Entries introduced by PMC on Jangli Maharaj Road.

I parked my car and one boy escorted me upto the gate. Juilee was waiting for me by the gate. The staff welcomed me at the gate and Juilee showed the girl my pass. I entered inside and felt the environment of the pary. The All Indian Shri Shivaji Memorial School's Hospitality Management and Catering College students were dressed up in the form of waiters, chefs, managers, etc. Some students were serving mocktails and some are removing the empty plates from the table. We first went to Juilee's office friends group. Juilee introduced me with everybody. All girls and only one boy ( Vivek ) buzy in eating. We then went and stood in the long queue. There were more than 45 items. The tables were also having well decorated items, which I wanted to eat, but they did not give me those.. Hahahaha.

I took very few items like corn-batata roll, herb-rice, potato-barcili and cheez-paav. Juilee took every veg item in small quantities, as she likes to try out different foods. ( I am very rigid in case of food choices. ) Meanwhile Vivek brought Kiwi Milkshake for me. It was toooooooooo much tasty. Also the Mocktail was very good having CarnBerry juice + blue curacao. Blue curacao is very tasty chemical... it tastes like concentrated lime juice. ( But its not a daru - Juilee said. But Wiki says its a Daru. )

We then came back at the table. Two of the girls went for deserts and gave us their chairs. We finished up the main course. I was eager to go to the Deserts queue. Mi and Juilee went there, and Juilee was disappointed by seeing the Moose having egg in it. ( She wanted to eat moose but without egg. ) I took 2 pieces of everything except the French Toast ( a kind of Sweet Omlet ).

A good French music is being played in the background.

I was fulll and could not enjoy the coffee. Juilee told that the coffee is also very tasty with vanilla flavour and cream.

It was 10:00 pm and when we were about tho leave, the students started fire-bottle dancing show. It was boaring as they were just doing timepass without skills. And people were shouting un-necessary and vooowing at them.

Then we took photos near the Eifel Tower model.

Then the Juilee and girls mate Mrs. Anuradha who was one of the main person. She also introduced us with the main Chef. The chef asked us how was the food and we replied that it was authentic and tasty... ( why we always give only goody goody feedback? They have provided us Amul cheez and britania cream-crackers in French Food - authentic???? )

Then we left and our plan was to drop Dhanashri at Dandekar Pool while going. Gandhali and Ketki requested us to drop them at JangliMaharaj Road. I dropped them at Deccan and Juilee asked me to wait till they get the rikshaw. They did not get it ans so we decided to drop ketki at Barista - Law College road and then Gandhali to Nalstop. Then we dropped Dhanashri at Dandekar Pul and then we reached home at 10:40 PM.

The stomach was full of sweet and we slept immediately.

Expenses:

Rs. 350 ( x 2 ) = Rs. 700
