Purpose: Picnic

Saw these lines in the email I received, and my eyes started shining. It was the email for long term international assignment for USA. The next 4 months were the most busy days in our life. There was just one topic in our talks, walks, thoughts and dreams, and that was "how its going to be in USA?". We did a lot of shopping for this new life. Also there was an uncertainty about visa approval, but it also got over on 13th April. As we returned to Pune from Chennai, days were gone very fast, air cargo people packed our boxes, air tickets got booked, home was finalized and the day came - 29th April - when my mom, dad, my best friends Animish and Sangappa came to see us off at Pune International Airport.
Our eyes were damp and my dad and mom did not remove their goggles. We hugged each other and finally me, Juilee and Radhika entered inside the airport. I could not speak for next few minutes. The journey was smooth as Radhika enjoyed company of my colleague's kid till Delhi.
Delhi to Chicago also was a smooth ride.
As we landed in Chicago, I yelled "Welcome back to America!". Mr. Uday came to pick us up at Chiago airport and dropped us at Element hotel, Moline. After relaxing a bit, we went to Funky Desi but it was closed so we went to Lemongrass and had fried rice. Later we went to Lagomarcino candy and icecream shop to freshen up Radhika's mood.
At the evening we moved into our home at Springs at Bettendorf where our move coordinator, Lisa, guided us about home utilities. These are nice row houses. Radhika already slept on the chair as Lisa was talking. We thought of making kheer as a sweet dish on the occasion of new home but Radhika already slept and we were tired, too. So we ate the "favorite dish of India" - Maggi noodles - and slept.
From the next day my office stared and we started building a routine life in USA.
