Places visited: Niabi Zoo, Coal Vally.
Date: 27/5/2018
Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Persons: Harshal, Juilee, Radhika
It was a long weekend and we did not got a car then. So we were unsure about how to spend the 3
days. Especially for Radhika it becomes very boring. On Saturday we went to Family Museum and took its membership as well. For Sunday, we were discussing on various places like Chicago, Des Moines, etc. and Radhika gave idea of going to Niabi Zoo. We all immediately agreed and started preparation. As it was hot and humid day, Juilee packed a homemade lemonade for us (to save $4 hahahaha).
We first went to Harris Pizza and did lunch. Then we immersed ourselves in sunscreen lotion. Uday came to pick us up. We reached to the zoo at around 2:00 PM. Here we purchased the membership of zoo, so we got free admission. We got basic family membership, so we had to purchase train and carousel tickets separately. We did not buy Giraffe feeding this time as we did it last time. But it is worth doing as kids enjoy it.
As we entered the zoo, the weather got cloudy which saved us from sun burns.
Still it was humid and Juilee's homemade lemonade kept us hydrated. The museum displayed various pet and wild life animals like goats, pigs, oxes, llamas, camel, black panther. The reptile section is cool and that's the only place which has AC, so it saved us from humidity for sometime.
The place has food section which serves non-veg items. Last time we had to customize a non-veg sandwich to make it a veg one. This time we took some snacks along with us.
The train ride is awesome and carousel was enjoyed a lot by Radhika as usual.
There was pa peculiar species of monkeys, in which, the male is black and female is golden. We saw lot of reptiles which were greatly camouflaged on the barks of the trees.Truly, nature is amazing and we humans are just a small piece of it. The porcupine was amazing.
